Quick Note
We appreciate everyone pitching in—big and small—to keep our community strong as we close out the semester.
Volunteer Gratitude
We are so grateful to the many volunteers who supported RCF over the past several months:
- The Staff Appreciation Committee pulled off another amazing Cookie Potluck on December 16th, providing cookie bags to RCF’s 100+ staff and bus drivers!
- The Holiday Gift Drive Team helped make the holidays a little brighter for 150 RCF families.
- The Lost & Found Team sorted through hundreds of items, taking the time to deliver last-minute finds to parents before the big donation on December 20th.

Does your child have ‘BIG feelings’? Are your child’s tantrums or worries controlling your family’s schedule? Are you ready to take a different approach?
Behavior is communication! Rock Creek Forest Counseling offers a variety of therapeutic interventions and support to help both children and caregivers. I can help you and your child improve communication, strengthen your relationship, and be stronger emotionally.

Being a human can be hard, but no one should have to struggle alone. Please reach out if you’ve been looking for help for you or your child, and for more information about therapy services, including play therapy and animal assisted therapy. In-person sessions offered out of my home on Colston Drive, just down the block from RCF Elementary.
Volunteer Opportunity: Talent Show
We are currently seeking 2 volunteers to lead this year’s RCF Talent Show. If we do not get any volunteers by February 15th, we will have to cancel. If interested, email Hello@rcfpta.org. Thank you in advance for your support!
Save Your Receipts!
Don’t forget to save your receipts from Snider’s and Corner Market – and you can gather receipts from friends, neighbors, and family, too! When you are next at school, you (or your child) can simply drop off the receipts in the green box outside the RCF front office. These businesses donate 1% of totals (from Snider’s) and 3% (from Corner Market).
- Pro tip: set your Corner Market receipts to be emailed automatically to rcfmoneyfornothing@gmail.com, so you never have to think about it again.
- You can also scan receipts from any grocery store and earn money for RCF through the Box Tops for Education app!
