Books Needed for Book Swap

RCF’s annual book swap is Monday, June 9. Our goal is for each student to take home at least two books for summer reading. To achieve this goal, we need your donations of gently used PreK through grade 5 books (English or Spanish). Beginning Monday, March 24, there will be a donation bin inside the front doors of the school. Please send books with your students or drop them off during school hours. We are most in need of upper grade (3rd-5th) books, and graphic novels are always very popular. A list of popular titles and series is attached, but we will gladly take any elementary-aged books. Don’t have books to donate? Consider buying one or two the next time you’re at a thrift store or used bookstore (Friends of the Library is amazing!) or request donations on your neighborhood listserv. Let’s make sure all our RCF Tigres have summer reading materials!

2025-2026 PTA Executive Committee Nominations

Dear RCF Families,

Thanks to all who were able to attend our most recent PTA meeting.  As mentioned, it’s already time to start thinking about next year’s PTA Executive Committee!

We are seeking nominations for several positions for the 2025-2026 school year as some current members have reached their term limits.  Self-nominations are encouraged, and a big thanks to those who have already expressed interest!

The open positions are:

  • President
  • Executive Vice President
  • VP for Fundraising
  • VP for Outreach
  • Corresponding Secretary
  • Recording Secretary
  • BCC Delegate
  • MCCPTA Delegate

We also have several returning Executive Committee members, and the outgoing representatives are happy to share their knowledge – so everyone will be supported!

If you are interested in one of these roles – or becoming involved in the PTA more generally – please reach out to the Nominations Committee at nominations@rcfpta.org by Friday, April 25th (the sooner the better!).  We can share position descriptions, anticipated time commitment, and more for each role.

Thanks for your support of our wonderful school!
