2025 Read-a-Thon
Welcome to our fourteenth annual Read-a-thon!
Rock Creek Forest Elementary School
November 21 – December 5, 2025
Our “Reach for a Book, Reach for Your Dreams” theme invites students to explore new worlds, spark their imaginations, and discover the joy of books. Each book read brings you closer to the stars, so grab your favorite book and get ready for adventure.

- Agenda: featuring a presentation by Carolina Slobodzian, Reading Specialist, and Kianna Kelley about how to interpret test results (i.e. MAP and MCAP)

Save Your Receipts!
If your weekend plans include grocery shopping in preparation for
Thanksgiving, please remember to save your receipts from Snider’s and
Corner Market – and you can gather receipts from friends, neighbors, and
family, too! When you are next at school, you (or your child) can simply
drop off the receipts in the green box outside the RCF front office. These
businesses donate 1% of totals (from Snider’s) and 3% (from Corner Market).
Pro tip: set your Corner Market receipts to be emailed automatically to rcfmoneyfornothing@gmail.com, so you never have to think about it again.
You can also scan receipts from any grocery store and earn money for RCF
through the Box Tops for Education app!
A huge thank you to Corner Market for their recent donation to our
school! Last year, families collected $4,135 in receipts from this
fabulous local business!
