Dine Out at Parkway Deli
Looking for somewhere to eat before or after Math Night on Thursday, March 26? Join us just across the street from RCF at Parkway Deli! On Thursday, Parkway is donating 10% of ALL dining room sales from 4pm-close to RCF PTA.

- Why: Easy dinner before or after Math Night, see your RCF community, and support your school!
Math Night for STEAM Week!
Rock Creek Forest School and PTA invite you to a fun-filled Family Math Night co-hosted with Mathnasium of Downtown Silver Spring!
Families will have the opportunity to participate in interactive math games and activities organized by grade level (K–2 and 3–5).
- 🎉 Rewards and giveaways will be available throughout the evening!
- 🌮 Food will be available for purchase.
- 📅 Date: Thursday, March 26, 2026
- ⏰ Time: 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
- 📍 Location: Rock Creek Forest Elementary School
Volunteers Needed
Volunteers will support math stations and help guide families through activities. We currently need 8-10 volunteers. Volunteers are asked to arrive at 5:15 p.m. (45 minutes before the event) for a brief orientation and training on the math station they will support.
RCF PTA Nominating Committee
It is time to start thinking about who will serve as your PTA Executive Committee for the 2026-2027 school year! We encourage families from all backgrounds and grade levels to consider getting involved.
We are now accepting nominations (including self-nominations) for any of our Executive Committee positions, especially the following:
- President
- Executive Vice President
- Treasurer
- 2 Delegates to the Montgomery County Council of PTAs (MCCPTA)

Money For Nothing Fundraiser
A huge thanks to all of you who submitted Snider’s receipts this year – and thanks to our local grocery store Snider’s for its donation to our school! Our receipts for 2025 totaled just under $13,000 – only about half of what we collected last year, but still a great effort among all those who participated.
As a reminder, Snider’s grocery store donates 1% of receipt totals to RCF, and Corner Market (across the street from our school!) donates 3%.
Please continue to drop off receipts from both stores in the green box just outside the main office. We are always accepting receipts!
