Rock Creek Forest students and families are reaching out to our community through “A Wider Circle” – supporting local families in need and supporting our student athletes on the track!
Registration fees can now be paid with check or credit card but also with item donations to A Wider Circle. See full details on the “What to Donate” tab.
The mission of A Wider Circle is simple: to end poverty for one individual and one family after another. Our four main programs work in concert to help individuals and families reach a place of stability and independence, for it is independence that best characterizes the rise out of poverty. Our four main programs include: Provision of Basic Need Items, Workforce Readiness, Long-term Wraparound Support, and Neighborhood Partnerships. We know that poverty in the United States will end when every sector of society engages – and when it is a priority of every citizen. The more we connect those in poverty with those willing and able to help, the more likely we are to accomplish this mission.
About the Event
What are the Rock Creek Relays?
The RCRs are a Track and Field Meet: running and field events for all ages and abilities. It’s not just relay races (though there are relay races) – we’ll have individual races as well as long jump and softball shot put competitions. You can participate in one or several events – your choice!
